Audubon’s mission is to provide protection and conservation of all bird species and their environments which is encapsulated in the design of the office itself. The space is designed to provide a holistic feel of sustainability and ergonomics, while also implementing a lively and inviting environment. The space is deemed inviting through the aspects of accessibility and opportunity without restrictions or limits to comfort. Through the use of natural lighting and glass views throughout the whole space, the interior environment is strengthened to promote work efficiency and wellbeing, while also tying in the organizations mission with outdoor-indoor interplay. Features of the organization’s actions are shown through the space in the colors and textures used. Bright, vivid colors, along with soft, earthy textures are used to portray aspects of the bird’s feathers and their nest to emphasize what the organization stands for.
